Who are you?

I am a clinical hypnotherapist and certified Hypnobirthing Practitioner.

However firstly I am a mother, I start my day with my kids jumping on me in bed to wake me for cuddles. I end my day reading to them and sometimes patting my youngest to sleep followed finally by my wind-down time with my kindle.

I am also a co-owner of Plum Australia. Plum produces premium babywear,  and award-winning baby sleep bags and nursery products.

I studied Interior Design and Textile Design. When I was 25 years old, with a business partner I set up my first business. We established an Interior Design business and Astro an art gallery. We exhibited the works of young artists and designers and held fashion shows and events in our warehouse space in Paddington.

I spent time living in New York working in an art gallery in Tribeca and collaborating with the Australian Consulate on exhibitions for Australian artists. I still represent several artists: Scott Petrie, Edwina Straub, Rebeccah Dent, and Paola Talbert. Our family home doubles as my art gallery.

I have always been interested in finding ways to support people to grow and be their best. Before I started with Plum I studied counselling at the Australia College of Applied Psychology.

I am passionate to support people to achieve their goals through hypnotherapy, counselling and the incorporation of science-backed positive psychology tools. I guide my clients to achieve positive outcomes by teaching them the strategies and skills they need to have the confidence and knowledge to support themselves. I encourage my clients to believe in themselves and develop a positive mindset, to empower them to have the ability to deal with any decision or situation that may occur. I assist people to find the keys they need for wellbeing and to develop a positive and flourishing life.

Who had inspired you?

My dad inspired me to get started. From a young age he always told me and my siblings we should work for ourselves and we all have.

Rosemary Sherro has inspired me to learn to meditate and together we want to help others use the gift of meditation to maintain calm in our very hectic and busy lives.

What were your dreams for your future as a child?

When I was a child I wanted to be a ballerina and then an artist.

What is your wish for the world? I wish people would be more empathy and caring towards others and less angry and frightened of what is different. What is your magic place, where you go to relax and unwind? I love waking in Centennial Park and Coogee beach. What is your life motto? “If you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all”  Thumper The quote is from the Bambi movie. I first heard it when I must have been about 4 or 5 years old.  Although I was so young the quote had a strong effect on me as I had already experienced bullying at school. EDUCATION
